Community acupuncture is a business model intended to make acupuncture an accessible option for people seeking affordable complimentary health services. By offering affordable rates on a sliding scale we hope to provide a sustainable solution for both the patient community and our business.

About the community setting
We want our patients to be as comfortable as possible. There might be others getting acupuncture at the same time as you. Please be mindful. Take comfort in the knowledge that we all share the same desire to improve our well being. Although we have a group setting, your privacy is very important to us. We never discuss your case with or around others without your consent. If you require more then a brief conversation, feel free to request that we step into the office. We may ask you to do the same if we have more questions for you.

Preparation for the Treatment
In order to ensure safety, success, and comfort for each treatment, there are several thing we ask of you before your appointment.
  1. Do not come on an empty stomach. We ask that you eat something 1-2 hours prior to your appointment.
  2. Wear loose, comfortable clothes. We need access below knees and elbows.
  3. Make sure you have an hour for the treatment. If you have any time constraints, let us know before the treatment.
  4. Make sure to turn off your cell phone before stepping into the clinic.
  5. In consideration for other patients, please avoid strong perfumes and colognes.
  6. Feel free to bring items for your own comfort such as special pillows, blankets, headphones, or eye covers. We have ear-plugs for twenty-five cents.

According to Texas law, you must have seen a physician within one year prior to your first appointment for the condition for which you are seeking treatment. If you are unable to provide documentation, you must sign a document attesting that you have seen your physician. Some conditions are exempt from this law. These include chronic pain, weight loss, and smoking, drug, or alcohol addiction. Please call us if you have questions about your specific case and whether a physician visit is required of you.
